The design culture in Singapore is interesting as designers do collaborations from time to time combine two creative minds. Some prefer to do design the local way such as integrating Peranakan tiles in modern design, way to incorporate culture into their work. That is because Singapore is a country with institutions that supports arts and design such as schools or design industries. An example of a good design in Singapore would be Park Royal Hotel which aim to achieve a sustainable architecture that seeks to minimize the negative impact of buildings through efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy, and development of space and the ecosystem at large. This has inspired me in my future designs to conserve the greenery by integrating plants in the spaces that would benefit the users and environment.
